1. How long will my repair take?  
We know you want your machine back quickly, and repairs are completed as soon as possible. Most repairs are completed within five to seven calendar days after drop off.
 

2. My repair is time sensitive. I need my machine fixed immediately!
We specialize in time-sensitive repairs and offer Priority Service.

Priority Service ensures that your computer is examined immediately, and you will receive an update call before the end of business the same day. Rates begin at $175 per hour.


3. I have AppleCare. Will I have to pay anything?

AppleCare and the Apple Limited Warranty covers the costs of parts and labor on nearly all repairs.

There are three notable exceptions:
1. The problem is software-related, rather than hardware-related
2. We are unable to duplicate or confirm the problem
3. The computer has been damaged by a liquid spill, drop or other form of accidental damage. In this case,we perform a one-hour damage assessment. Standard or priority service rates apply.

4. What do I need to bring to the store with me for my repair?

In most cases, we will only need the computer itself. The exception to this would be if you are having power problems. In that case, you should bring your power cable as well so we can test that. Likewise, if your Bluetooth mouse or keyboard won’t connect to your computer, bring those to us. When in doubt, call the Service Writer at (215) 988-7777 before you stop by the store.

5. Do I need to pay any money at drop off?  

If your machine is covered by the Apple Limited Warranty or by AppleCare you will not need to pay any money at drop off unless you request a data back up or other software work.

For out of warranty or non-covered repairs, the diagnostic fee is $47.50, and is due at the time of drop off.

6. My iPod is broken. Can Springboard Media repair it?

If your iPod is out of warranty and needs a new battery, we can easily replace one for you. Apple handles all other iPod repairs directly, regardless of their warranty status. The Service Writer has information on how to facilitate you iPod to Apple or go to http://www.apple.com/support .

7. Will you come to my house to fix my computer?

Absolutely! We offer onsite service for both home and business customers. Rates begin at $135 per hour. Discounted blocks of service time are also available. Call (215) 988-7777 or email the Service department for more information.

  8. Can I rent or borrow a machine while mine is in for service? Edit

Definitely!  If you purchased your computer and AppleCare from Springboard Media, you'll receive a free loaner while your machine is in for a warranty repair.

If you did not purchase your machine with AppleCare from Springboard Media, or the repair is not covered under warranty, loaners start at just $99 for the entire duration of the repair.
